Group Podcast
I believe my group and I are just going to make a huge rant about lyndon and other things that annoy us... but I'm still not quite sure, they are not very decisive.

Three Podcasts that I find interesting.
The first one I listened to was The Writers Almanac with Garrison Keillor.
-I picked this particular podcast because I had heard it in my Voice Production class,(Apparently Keillor has a great voice for radio), but I like to hear this day in history with author's and books and the like, so I thought this one would be perfect for me. I believe I will continue to listen to this particular one because they only run for five to six minutes, so it's not like I have to set aside an hour to listen to it like you would have if you listen to a Podcast like Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me.
The next one that I listened to was The Fireside Book Chat. It's books written for teens, critiqued by teens. The first one I listened to was young adult fiction, about a young girl or something or other, I don't really remember, but it was boring so I didn't continue to listen to it. I will keep it on my iTunes and if a book shows up that sounds interesting, I will listen to it, but other than that, it's kind of boring.
The last one that I have, I have because my INT professor mentioned it in class last year. It's called Midwest Teen Sex Show. It is a video podcast and basically just shows funny examples of different sexual endeavors. This is a good place for young teens to go (so I think anyway) if they have any questions about anything like that and don't feel comfortable going to their parents and don't want to ask their friends about for fear of being made fun of. I just like it because it is rather funny. I've had this on my iTunes for over a year and have only watched two or three of them, but they are definitely worth a look.

MacHale Returns!
This is one of my favorite authors and he has finally started a new series! He is most know for the Pendragon Series in which Bobby Pendragon has to travel to ten different territories to stop an evil man, Saint Dane from throwing all of the worlds into utter chaos.
This new series seems a bit darker and for older audiences, but I can't wait for it to come out! I've tried embedding the count down here, but it's not working, so I'll just post the link here.

Critique of vtdigger.com
While looking at vtdigger.com, a site made by Anne Galloway, a former newspaper reporter, I noticed that her money comes from donations, business sponsorships and grants because it is a non-profit enterprise. The money is spent directly on reporting which I like because it ensures that the reporting is to the point and for the people. They don’t seem to be getting many grants, but readers donated $4,500 which is fantastic because it shows that people really like the site and use it often enough to want to give back.
I really Like the article Kamps on video: NRC, nuclear industry have leak-first-fix-later philosophy because it is well written and something that everybody in Vermont should know. It gives well detailed information as well as background information on the chemical that is actually leaking out of the pipes. If it gets released into water, it can get into anything… even our bodies and cause genetic damage. At the end of the article, there are several videos showing the actual interview which I liked a lot also because even though I wasn’t there, I could see what went on and I think this is a good attribute to the site.
For people who are really into politics, there is a section of the site just for them called “Politicker” where there are many articles about what is going on with politics.
But I think my favorite part of the site was the comic section because even though your stories are on line, it still gives off that newspaper nostalgia and flare. All in all, I liked the site quite a bit and I think it would be a good one for me to look at everyday just to keep up on things because I hate watching the news. Good job =)
